How Lake Charles quotes work
Lake Charles Demolition is a quote-request service. We don't own equipment or send crews. We take the details of your job and put them in front of independent local demolition contractors, who quote you directly.
Four steps
From your description to a written quote in your hands.
You describe the job
The form asks where the property is, what is standing on it, what should be left when the crew goes, any suspected hazards, and any notice or deadline. Rough answers are fine; contractors confirm on site. Photos make quotes closer, and WhatsApp is the easiest way to send them.
We pass it on
We read your request and send it to independent demolition contractors who work in Calcasieu Parish. We don't choose the work for them or set what they charge.
Contractors contact you
Those who can take the job reach out, usually to look at the property, and each sends a written quote. Nobody is guaranteed to reply.
You decide
Compare what each quote includes, check the contractor, and hire the one you want, or nobody. The contract, the permit and the work are between you and the contractor you pick.
What gets passed on
And to whom.
Your request goes to independent local contractors, not to a call center. What they receive is what you typed into the form:
- The property: the town, the street address or parcel number if you gave one, and how trucks reach it.
- The structure: size, stories, basement or crawlspace, garages and outbuildings, and any known or suspected hazards.
- The job: what should be left, permit status, target start date, deadline, salvage, and your notes.
- You: your name, your role (owner, heir, landlord, builder and so on), and the email or phone number you chose to give, plus a best time to call.
The privacy page explains how requests are sent and what happens to them.
What to compare
The paperwork
Does the quote include the demolition permit, and who files it? Does it cover the asbestos inspection and the LDEQ notification, and the cost of any abatement? Contractors differ on this, so two quotes that look alike can cover different things.
The ground work
Is the slab, the piers and the footings in the price, or left in place? Is the lot filled and graded when the crew leaves? A bare lot, a lot with the slab left, and a lot with trees cleared are three different jobs.
The debris
Does the price include containers or trucks, haul-off and disposal fees? Disposal fees are part of most quotes, so check that yours says so and ask each contractor to show it as a line you can compare.
Before you hire
We don't check this for you. You should.
- Ask for the contractor's Louisiana license and proof of insurance, and check them yourself.
- Get more than one written quote, and compare line by line what each includes.
- Ask who pulls the permit and who sends the LDEQ asbestos notification.
- Make sure the contract names the scope: which structures, the slab, the trees, the final grade.
- If you have a city or parish notice, show it to the contractor and ask what the deadline means for scheduling.
- Treat a number given without seeing the property as an estimate, not a price.
What we don't do
We are not a demolition contractor. We don't do the work, hold a contractor's license for it, carry out inspections, or file permits for you. We don't set prices: the ranges published on this site come from HomeBlue's Lake Charles cost guide, and only a contractor's written quote is a price. We can't promise that a particular contractor will reply, or when. Asking costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. See the terms for the details.
Questions people ask most are answered on the FAQ page, and the towns we take requests from are on service areas.
